Upcoming exhibition with the Yungaburra Village Artists

I have been very busy lately working towards a group exhibition with the YVA at the Tablelands Regional Gallery in June.

This is one of the pieces I have been working on. A life size Boyd's Forest Dragon. He is going through the long, slow drying process at the moment. I will paint a coloured slip on him before I bisque, then I will apply a greenish dry glaze before firing to a higher temperature.I tried to capture him looking up, inquisitive but nonchalant. They are wonderful creatures who do actually look up at you when you encounter them walking in the forest as if to say "And who are you?" I have made other pieces as well, and I will take photos of them too and post them up soon. Three very cute feathertail gliders in umbrellas, an Exothermic Echidna and a Giant Burrowing Teflon Cockroach......that is if they survive the firing!

The YVA @TRG opening night is Friday 7th June, and it is always a great social night., so if you are close by, come along!
