Yungaburra

Yungaburra comes alive when the market and the Folk Festival is on.

It was alovely weekend up here in FNQ as the rain went away and we had some lovely sunshine. This was particularly beneficial for Yungaburra as both the monthly market and the Yungaburra Folk festival was on. The Folk festival is one of the biggest festivals up on the Tablelands, and the locals really look forward to seeing acts that they would have to go to the 'big smoke' to see otherwise. Things have been slow for the little country town this year, and events like these inject a much needed flush of funds. Talking about flushes, everything has turned emerald green here! It's time to pull out the lawn mowers as the grass is starting to grow. I hope it dries up a little before the real wet season starts as we have to prepare for the cyclone season, and I have to paint the final coat of paint on my studio windows!
